Book Review: A Reader and a Patient of Dr. Maskin
Summary: 5 Stars
Yes, I've read Dr. Maskin's book. I've also been a patient of his since 2005. I found his book helpful, and I appreciate his medical practice as only a patient can.
In 2005, I developed a maddening sandy feeling in my eyes, and was using Refresh Tears constantly. The first ophthalmologist I saw said the condition was irreversible, and I would have to learn to live with the discomfort and distraction. I couldn't believe that. Upon hearing my distress, my internist referred me to Dr. Maskin, whom she thought would be my best hope to overcome the problem.
Now it's 2011, and I've been leading a normal life for years now. What a relief. Dr. Maskin's 2005 amniotic membrane surface reconstruction on both of my eyes was a success. Recovery was easy. Dr. Maskin encourages his patients to follow a simple daily regimen to address the risks of dry eye syndrome. He is meticulous and thoughtful in follow-up appointments. And his staff members are well-informed and friendly. His entire practice is a recipe for patient success. He's made a significant difference in my life.
So, read his book! You'll gain meaningful insights into his methods for addressing dry eye.
