Book Review: I only wish that I had read Robert's book in high-school.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a must read book for everyone but more importantly it is a must-make your children read book for parents. As a parent from the boom-generation you have a finacial, parental and moral obligation to read this book with your children. If I had had this book in high-school I would have more assets, less liabilities and would have known to pay myself first. Because of this book I have begun to look seriously at my life and for the first time I can see the end of the cycle. This book should be given a sixth star and I would like to thank Robert for enlightening me about the world and for teaching me how to make money work for me. I love this book, and I love Robert for sharing it with me. Stuart Smith infinity6@hotmail.com I hope to meet you someday Robert to shake your hand and say Thank You!

Book Review: If you want to be rich, you've got to read & understand #s.
Summary: 5 Stars

An asset is something that puts money in your pocket. If you want to be rich, simply spend life buying assets. Gradually acquire assets such as bonds, intellectual property, notes, real estate and stock as assets generate dividends, interest, rental income, and royalties. If you want to be poor or middle class, spend life buying liabilities such as consumer loans, credit cards, and mortgages. If you want to be rich, you've got to read and understand numbers. Emotions such as fear and desire are what make people human. Emotion stands for energy in motion. Be truthful about emotions and use your mind and emotions in constructive ways. Most people do not know that it's their emotions such as fear and desire that are doing their thinking. Take action. By acquiring assets you will be choosing wealth as your goal and your future. The choice is yours. You most likely will not be taught in school how to gradually become rich. You will most likely be gradually taught how to be a good employee and a good consumer vs a good employer and a good asset acquirer.

Book Review: An essential guide to how to get ahead in the new millenium
Summary: 5 Stars

A truly revealing examination of the differences between the 'haves' and the 'have nots'. The old advice of 'get a good education and then get a good job' is still dished out to every child without a thought as to the relevance of that advice in the modern world. I have followed the same pattern as generations before me, and have long wondered why I'm not getting anywhere. This book has the answers. I wish it had been available 10 years ago, when I was starting out in the 'rat race'. Don't let the next generation fall into the same trap - get your children to read this book NOW !!

Book Review: You will never think about money in the same way again
Summary: 5 Stars

At the age of 40, I've begun to think about money more, since my parents told me to get good grades and a good education, find a good job and everything would work out fine. In reality, the US social security system is beyond bankrupt and it's clear that I'm going to need to to provide for our retirement, making money that is no more than average from my "good job". Mr. Kiyosaki blows the "education and good job" myth right out of the water with an clear and entertaining writing style, and plenty of practical information to change your thinking and your attitude about money.

I can now see clearly that I have the means to not only retire wealthy but most likely, at a fairly young age.

Oh, if this book were mandatory reading in ALL high schools!
