Book Reviews of Room on the BroomBook Review: Cute and perfect for Halloween Summary: 5 Stars
When I yanked this off the shelf because one of my students demanded a Halloween book, I didn't think it would be so adorable and so well-written! That afternoon we read it for our story time, and I was just as amused as the kids. It's a simple but clever story of friendship and loyalty written in sing-song rhyme with a brilliant rhythm and enchanting pictures. Great writing!
Book Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
This book is perfect for the Halloween season, although it does not mention Halloween specificially. Because of this, I was able to read it to my son's school class for the "fall" season (his school tries not to focus on the Halloween holiday). The kids loved it. The main character is a friendly witch who gets out of a sticky situation thanks to the friends she has made along the way. A fun read.
Book Review: Excellent Book Summary: 5 Stars
Same author as the Gruffalo. The book has wonderful rhyming and excellent pictures as well. My version has the phrasing something like "just once I'll have witch without fries'. No drooling in my edition. I think I like this version better anyway.
The story basically has one character after another hopping on to the broom until there are so many, it breaks and down they come.
Book Review: Fantastically Fun Summary: 5 Stars
We all love this book. My husband and I enjoy reading this to our kids and they love listening to it. I'm a fan of the author.
Book Review: Good book for my 3/4yr old. Summary: 5 Stars
My son and I enjoy reading this book. Right up there with the Gruffalo..
