Book Reviews of Room on the BroomBook Review: My kids love this one! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is so much fun to read! Both my kids love it, but my 3 year old especially.
It's a cute story, with a little adventure and a fun ending, and the pictures are adorable. My kids where never scared, even though the main character is a witch. (she smiles all the time)
I definitely recommnend it.
Book Review: One of our Favorites for Halloween Summary: 5 Stars
this is one of my son's favorite halloween stories. the illustrations are colorful and fun, and the story is nice. In this story, as witch flies by on her broom, she drops something (her wand, the bow from her hair, etc). She lands on the ground to search for the lost item, and meets a new friend who finds the item for her and asks for a ride on the broom. The broom gets pretty crowded, with a cat, a dog, a bird, a frog, and snaps in half. When the broom crashes to the ground, the witch finds herself in trouble and her new friends come to her rescue.
There is one semi-scary dragon in the story, but it didn't seem to bother my 4yo. We love this story and I would absolutely recommend for preschool aged kids.
Book Review: One of the best children's books to read out loud! Summary: 5 Stars
We love all of Julia Donaldson's books! I have a 5 1/2 yr. old daughter and "Room On The Broom" is still one of her favorites to be read to her. She requested that I read it out loud to her class -- that, or "The Gruffalo"! They're clever, funny, moral and sweet, and the illustrations by Axel Scheffler are wonderful.
Book Review: One we love all year. Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this book during the Halloween season last year but have pulled it off our bookshelf continuously all year long. My 4yo son loves it and it is enjoyable to read as a parent (hard to come by!) Wonderful rhyming and a great fun story!
Book Review: Our favorite book ever Summary: 5 Stars
This book is just great, entertaining, educating, fun reading and listening. It's a book about building friendship. I'll definitely buy more of her books. (I have a feeling my son will like "The Snail and The Whale" and "Where's My Mom?":) ) The only other book my son loved this much was "Hello! Is This Grandma?" by Ian Whybrow and Deborah Allwrigh but I think I love reading this one better due to the rhymes in it :)
