Maybe it's the translation, but I doubt it.
This book is just a mess. It's a long string of cliches about the title "bad girl", who is such a one-dimensional creation that, by the end of the book, I was just waiting for her to be gone. Not one character is fully realized and the narrator's passion/obsession with the title character is never well developed.
Jorge Franco is a very talented writer and has an amazing reputation in Colombia. This book seems to be just something he tossed onto paper in order to get a check. Might have made a good comic book. That's about all it really is.
