Book Reviews of Rumble Fish

Book Review: I read this book for Miss Joshua's English class.
Summary: 4 Stars

This story takes place in a city during the 1970s. The main characters are Rusty James, Motorcycle Boy and Rusty's friend Steve. They are having a hard time growing up. In this story Rusy wants to be like his brother. You should read this book because it is not boring and it is good because it teaches you how hard it is to grow up.

Book Review: It was the only book I ever finished and enjoyed.
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a great book. I much enjoyed the way that S. E. Hinton expressed Rusty-James additude towards the street life. It is very good and you should read it to.

Book Review: Jason's Review
Summary: 4 Stars

I liked this book a lot because S.E. Hinton is a brilliant writer and she is really my favorite one also not only that but this book is filled with suspense and excitement.
This book is about a kid named Rusty-James who grew up on the wrong side of the river and who is the toughest kid on the block. He wants to be everything like his older brother, the Motorcycle Boy, but he doesn't even know if his older brother is even coming home. But when the Motorcycle Boy does come home, he finds out something horrible about his past that might explain why he is afraid to be alone. Also when he goes to a beer blast that might have been set up, what will happen?
I would recommend this book to some one who really likes suspense and excitement.

Book Review: MOVING BOOK
Summary: 4 Stars

One of my favorite S.E. Hinton books. Characters are great, story is wonderful, the end is quite sad. lf you enjoyed The Outsiders or That was then, This is now- l think you'll like this too. Theres the strong bond among the friends that is common in her books, it really ties you to the characters and their feelings. This story is about a younger brother struggling to understand his older brother (who holds a real tough guy reputation and is always taking off from town on his own adventures) It all comes together with the younger brother finally getting the answers he has wondered about and as with most of her books it will evoke some emotion.

Book Review: Memories
Summary: 5 Stars

I read S E Hinton's books way back when. 1975 to be exact!! I am a voracious reader and these are the ones that stuck with me. I loved The Outsiders and That Was Then This Is Now. Every teenager needs to read these!!! No matter what generation you are they are pertinent to your life now.
