Book Review: Intense visual perspective of human spirituality.

My first reaction to seeing Alex Grey's work was one of "eeeew!" It was initially like looking into an ultra detailed CAT scan/MRI. But then the details hit me. The nervous system, vascular system, vicsera, bone structure, muscles, lymphatic system; all were amazingly clear and accurate, much like a medical text. But unlike a sterile text view, Grey incorporates chi meridians, chakras, and auras. Each work contains something intensely spiritual and has a wonderful way of incorprating all belief systems known today. And then you realize, my God, he's working in oils! Beautiful work. Highly inspiring. And the forward by Ken Wilber is the perfect entrance into Grey's visual interpretation of human spirituality.
