Book Review: An Awesome Start 2 A Phenomenal Series Summary: 5 Stars
Okay, I actually got this book on Christmas of 98, and oh my gosh, I was so incredibly thrilled! I read it at least 5 times before opening any of my other presents, it was so kewlios. But like, at this time I didn't know there was Sailor Moon manga in America, and like no question, this is far better than the anime. The anime gets old and boring, but I can read this forever. The artwork is so amazing and detailed too, but something that's kinda annoying is that a cople words go off the page, but that's okay, cuz I mean, you still know what they're talking about.Act 1: Bunny a.k.a. Sailor Moon - This is the first act and it basically has Bunny meeting Luna, who tells her of her destiny as a Sailor Soldier. She then defeats her first yoma, or however the heck you spell it, and saves Molly. Also, she meets a mysterious masked masked man. (I wonder who this could be) Act 2: Amy a.k.a. Sailor Mercury - This is the second act where there is a new, and brilliant young genius at Bunny's school. They become friends and then Bunny discovers that Amy is a pawn in The Enemy's plan! So, Bunny goes to save the people, when Luna figures out Amy is Sailor Mercury! (What a surprise!) Act 3: Raye a.k.a. Sailor Mars - There has been mysterious disappearances of buses that go from the shrine and Bunny meets a preistess named Raye at this same shrine. Bunny and Amy try to get on the disappearing bus and then they find out Raye is on it, but Bunny is left alone. They find out Raye is Sailor Mars and they save the people on the bus. Act 4: Masquerade - Okay, in this one, there is a Masquerade Ball, in Princess D's honor. The enemy think's this princess of D Land could have the Imperium Silver Crysal. So, the Sailor Soldiers fight the enemy and find out Princess D doesn't hold the Crystal. Also, Darien and Bunny kiss! (How sweet!) Act 5: Lita a.k.a Sailor Jupiter - Sadly, this is the last act of the book, I wish it were longer. Anyways, a new girl, Lita, is transfered to Bunny's school. They become friends and Lita is lured into the enemy's trap, after falling sorta falling in love with Andrew. Bunny saves her and they find out Lita is Sailor Jupiter. I hope I helped you figure whether you wanna buy this book or not. You really, really should though. Bye now! -Sara-

Book Review: An EXCELLENT book-- but it's flopped... Summary: 4 Stars
I'd like to start out by saying-- Naoko Takeuchi is one of the most talented and dedicated Authors and Artist's that I've ever SEEN! Her tied together manga series, Codename wa Sailor V, and Sailor Moon, are one of the most brilliant and thorough that I've ever read. The only reason I gave this manga book FOUR stars, is because of Mixx. Mixx cuts off some of the words, edits what our heroines are saying, and FLOPS it! I would like to see a Sailor Moon Manga version with only minimal touchups, just the sound effects and direct translation without the 'mirrored' effect. I'd like to see the original drawings of our beloved USAGI, MINAKO, REI, MAKOTO, and AMI (not Bunny, Mina, Raye, Lita, and Amy, the way they were meant to be seen by the artist. It annoys me very much. Viz did a much better job with translation and doing an 'UNFLOPPED' version of Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Z. Die-hard Sailor Moon fans, I would suggest you get this version to begin with, and then buy the original versions with scripts (you can get these at Ebay, or other anime/manga/SM stores online). Other than the annoying 'FLOP' and the changing of names, the actual story and art aren't half
