Moreover, lest we forget, in all the heart pounding excitement, the author takes time to develop the characters. As for me, while on my Sandstorm journey, I believed and felt a unique bond with the characters. I came to know, understand, see, and hear them. I experienced emotion, anger, frustration, suspense, curiosity, sadness, and joy. In fact, one particular scene touched me so much so...and well...I became teary eyed. Can you say verklempt!
