Book Review: Meldrum's book is soundly based on the scientific method.

Meldrum has written "Sasquatch" from a sorely needed scientific viewpoint.
He is a Darwin of our time, overcoming adversity to present findings that are based on solid science. While he presents the nitty gritty of his professional expertise, he does discuss related items of human interest. He readily acknowledges hoaxes, showing how to separate them from reliable observations. He calls for funding of serious scientific research on Sasquatch. Naturalist George Schaller writes a Foreward,and Meldrum notes Jane Goodall's conviction of Sasquatch's existence. I started reading as a skeptic; by the end, Meldrum had convinced me that Sasquatch exists.

The above title says it all. If you are only going to read one factual book, this is it. If you are looking for a book on the UFO/Bigfoot connection, move on. This book is written by a real scientist. Medrum teaches anatomy at Idaho State. A great book!Book Review: Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science

I have always had a long-term interest in this subject matter since my teens, always keeping an open mind on the subject. In my adulthood and due to my Profession (Police Detective) I could never quite shrug the belief that the number of eyewitnesses must have been seeing something over the last century and even longer for the indigenous peoples of Americas Northwest. Some accounts by rational and professional eyewitnesses have provided numerous evidence `on the balance of probabilities' approach, that the Sasquatch or something else large and unknown must exist in the American Northwest.
Dr.Meldrums book is a breath of fresh air on this topic and provides just what this subject requires, a thorough new look at the evidence from various fields of scientific expertise. In my opinion Dr Meldrum has shown more then enough evidence and ample reason to show that something very large, unknown and currently unrecognized by science, in all likelihood walks the American Northwest forests.
My hope is with this publication by Dr Meldrum, that momentum builds to mount a thorough and fully funded Scientific search for this unknown animal. There very well might be one of the most amazing scientific discoveries in modern times waiting at the end of such a search, possibly even another bipedal, intelligent primate. Isn't that alone enough to justify a fully funded search for `Sasquatch' by a multi disciplined scientific expedition? I would say it is.
Book Review: Better than the rest

This work is based on well-reasoned conjecture supported by scientific principles. At times the language is advanced - but one who truly has an interest in the subject matter would prefer to be educated by such a book, than one which caters to the masses - as many books on this subject do. The book is able to make a very convincing case for the existence of this creature using reason, case studies and other various evidence. I enjoyed it and was pleased with the deductions made to support the case for the reality of Sasquatch.Book Review: Demythoilogizing Sasquatch

This is a fascinating book, written by a qualified scientist. His conclusion is that the sasquatch phenomenon deserves scientific study. Whatever one's views on the subject, this is a good read.
