Book Review: A good book to curl up with...

"Second Chance" is a light read, with fun characters. Having never read
Jane Green's work before, this was new for me.
Four friends (+1 friend's wife) reunite after 20 years of following their own paths when one of their friends is killed in a terrorist attack abroad. The reunion occurs the night before the memorial service, with each person allowing introspection into the evening.
Holly has been in a loveless marriage for 14 years. Paul, and wife Anna, have been trying to get pregnant with no luck. Olivia, recently dumped and missing her 7-year relationship, is afraid to get out there again, and Saffron, a movie star, is THE OTHER WOMAN.
What happens when these past pals re-enter each other's lives? They want to re-claim friendships and loves lost and in the process heal from their grief. The death of their friend Tom unites them all in a way that nothing else has in the past 20 years.
Green's writing and dialogue of these characters is fun and engaging, but sometimes there is a 3rd person narration that throws the reader off. Nonetheless, the story is a good one with which to curl up and enjoy.
