Book Review: "Two thumbs up!" - Siskel & Ebert

Diddja ever notice how Siskel & Ebert never gave the "One thumb up!"? That's odd, cause when I see someone, I never give him the TWO thumbs up at once, I mean, what will the guy think? One thumb is quite enough, don't you think? Let's stick to the review though... I am a huge Seinfeld fan (that's rare for a French Canadian!) and I read pretty much everything on Seinfeld-related topics. "SeinLanguage", a collection of Seinfeld's stand-up bits, has become my own little bible. Honnest! Jerry is a very talented stand-up comedian and I literaly fell in love with his way of analyzing life's excrutiating minuatiae. He is very impressive. So, if it rains out there or if you're away and you miss someone, I strongly believe that "SeinLanguage" is the book to get a bright smile back on your face! Who could forget the hysterical comedy of a show so simple it becomes complex. The man behind it all does not disappoint us with this culmination of all things extraordinarily ordinary.
A great book not only for the Seinfield Fan, but for the fan of stand-up in general. It only takes a few pages to get hooked into the writing.
Although I do agree that stand-up is meant to be performed, it doesn't take much for your imagination to bring it to life.
I definitely recommend Seinlanguage.
Book Review: A funny book.
Summary: 4 Stars
I was never one of the cult of Seinfeld. I never did catch his show when it was on the air (though now I'm watching the syndicated reruns) so it's only recently I've seen how funny this guy really is. The book is just as crazy as the TV show. Jerry Seinfeld has a quirky way of looking at life and the things he comes up with are crazy, yet they make sense. Many times I found myself laughing out loud over his observations. I recommend this book to anyone who needs a good laugh.
