Book Review: Easy reading, but probably for fans only

I received this book in hard cover format as a gift, being a fan of the show and stand up performances, and enjoyed it tremendously. That having been said, it is a not much more than a light reading experience, and at under 200 pages (mostly lightly filled) is little more than a mirror of his most well known material. Fans like myself will not be disappointed, but this is not an insightful expose of what makes Jerry tick, and moreover is really just selling ice to eskimos. Jerry Seinfeld has to be one of the funniest comedians in the world. His hit show Seinfeld is off the air, but if you still want to catch some of his silly humor, check out this book. Since he was fifteen he has been writing down silly thoughts that came to mind. Now he collected all of his abstract writings and put them in a book. This book is very easy to read. The pages contain short little stories that happen to everybody throughout life and he adds his quick little humourous comments. A lot of it is straight from the show. At times I found myself laughing out loud. This book is basically in the setup as if Seinfeld was on stage doing a comedy bit for you. I found this book a humorous buy and went through it in two days.Book Review: El Stinko

This Seinfeld book really stinks. Some parts were funny and Seinfeld is indeed a funny guy, but this book was just El Stinko. He is much better as a stand-up. This book is just small bits of comedy and it is just too irritating to follow. You try to imagine his voice, but it just doesn't come across. I get the feeling he didn't type one word of this book. I had to read this book for a book report, and I didnt get very far without either me or my class cracking up! It is undoubtebly the funniest book ever written. It is rare that a book can make me laugh out loud. This book did again and again and again. I find it funny how many people seem to love his show but hate this book. Unforetunately, this book doesn't come with outrageous visuals like the TV show, or a laugh track in the background to tell you when you are supposed to find something funny. The $.01 used copies on Amazon also don't come with a sense of humor, and I really think they should mention that in the product description so they'll stop getting these unhappy customers.
