Everyone, at some point in their life, has done self-massage, whether it was stiffness in your neck, sore feet, stiff shoulders, etc. But here, you will learn and explore the finer touch of your hands, correct detailed methods, and the many health benefits of self-massage.
Author Rich Poley reminds us that "this book is unique." And it begins with the attractive design, a paperback cover that is a nice touch to the fingertips with its satin finish. The inside pages are well designed, easy on the eyes with nice black and white photo images. The text in Self Message for Athletes is well-written, understandable, supported, referenced, with an extensive notes section and index. The book is divided into three parts, and chapters are well defined, clear to understand, and complete with everything you ever believed you needed to know about feeling better.

The many black and white photos are very well-done!
For the non-athlete too!
A chapter titled "A Sample Massage" demonstrates clearly the techniques on different parts of the body, including the face.
Dance as self-massage!
What is enlightening is the idea that full body dance is self-massage.
You will also learn about Shower Massage, tools for massage, and Poley will indicate, if needed, any disadvantages to self-massage that may apply. You, the reader, are given contact support, info on clinics, workshops, and they want to hear ideas from YOU! A website is included [...]
