Book Review: honest insight
Summary: 4 Stars
This well written book is worth reading and refreshingly honest. One begins to feel familiar with the various family members. If you are interested in learning about polygamy this is a good start. However, the author, in my opinion, has an idealized view of monogamy. She never mentions the positive aspects of multiple marriage which include the presence of other wives as baby sitters and companions. She seems to take for granted the harmony amongst the dozens of offspring. There is never any example of the numerous siblings fighting or teasing one another! She never suggests any of them were in trouble with the law, taking drugs or had accidental out of wed lock pregnancies. For such a huge family imagine the odds! This is a book I have not regretted reading. It is worth your time and money.
