Book Review: A Fast paced, Wholesome Adventure
Summary: 4 Stars
Harold Bell Wright weaves an intricate plot in this turn-of-the century Ozark Mountain tale. With vivid descriptions, readers feel like they are silent observers to the events as they are taking place.Wright is a master at creating distict personalities--some sympathetic, some evil, but most with a mixture of human qualities that make them seem all the more real.
As someone who is not a big fiction reader, I was amazed how quickly I polished off this book. The family-friendly plot is a true page turner.
One footnote--anyone who has visited Branson, Missouri should pick it up just to discover what a "Baldnobber" is.
