Book Review: "Christian" child abuse

I read this whole book, being curious about yet another "Christian" book that advocates cruelty to children. It made me alternately angry, and sick to my stomach.
There is little that is good in this book, and much that is horrific. The author stresses communication, but communication of such an intrusive, negative, "your child is a hopeless sinner" sort, that is is downright depressing. And then he gets to the "heart" of his sick theories, that parents are God to the child and the child should be beaten into immediate and total submission. Even BABIES!!!
On p.151-152 the whipping routine is described in gory detail:
1) Take the child to a private place (so nobody can rescue the child from the abuse)
2) Make the child confess to his/her "sins" (not picking up a few toys, like when did God care about a few toys on the floor???)
3) Tell them how many times they'll be flogged
4) Pull down his/her pants or diaper (don't kid yourself, this is sexual sadism)
5) Whip them until they become "sweet" (ie, until they can no longer scream and cry)
6) Do the whipping over your lap (as the author says, this puts it in the context of your "physical relationship" - this almost made me vomit!)
7) Then pull your child up onto your lap and tell them you love them.
Wake up people!!! This is fetishism, BDSM, this sick stuff will turn your children into spankos and/or Nazis who never question authority and carry out "orders" to torture others!!!
For all the "Christians" who enjoy this sort of sadistic stuff, why do you and this author ignore virtually all of Jesus' teachings? Like, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, healing people rather than hurting them? Like the Golden Rule? Jesus had the utmost respect for children. The author of this book has only contempt, calling children the worst of names: crass, fools, twisted, and "impossible to live with". People with such evil and unChristian notions of normal childhood should not have children, much less write nauseating tomes advising others to beat them.
