Book Review: Everyday things with ever changing views
Summary: 5 Stars

Here are a few of my favorites and the merest notes of why (what I see):

§ Green #2, 1998: rarest of greens (my favorite color) and one perfect butterfly - simplicity
§ Henry, 1990: for it's odd angles yet strong, clear (in motion), a clever shadow shot
§ No Sign, 2001: for it's pale colors, absolute stillness, makes you wonder what mystery lies further into the mist.
§ Element of Surprise, 2000: dark, haunting, the power of roots that look like they might march away any second (I expected much thicker roots but less of them).
§ Suns Losing It's Yellow, 1998: Many layered meanings, swiping, slashes of colors especially the writing just below the top layer (I'm always bent on reading what it reads)
§ Shoe Fence, 2000: For just the whimsy fun of it.

I think I know whose hands are pictured on the cover. The one (hand) with the rings is Dennis Hopper's. The other (hand) with the finger bandaged is Viggo's-----just guessing.

In scope and execution SignLanguage is one of those rare, visual experiences that catch you up from the Acknowledgment page, won't let you go until the end and leaves you yearning for more.
