I teach first grade, and boy do they love to hear about Kitty Boy! I think they'd ask me to read about Skippy everyday if I let them. With the right voice, and pacing, my students almost feel they are right there with Skippy. That's how vivid the word choice is. At the end of the year, I ask my students to tell me what they liked best and worst about their year, and more than half my class said the best part was when I read in my SkippyJon Jones voice. This is a great book for young and old. It is fun to read aloud and watch your children laugh at "Holy Guacomole!" My children range from 3 to 11 and love to read it and have it read to them. It also exposes them to a little easy Spanish here and there.Book Review: Excellant!

We checked this book out from the library, and have to get our own copy to avoid being book bandits. We have fun reading it and best of all, it has gotten my 4 yr. old daughter interested in learning Spanish! I had been trying to teach her before, but Skippyjon made her want to learn.
