Book Review: Amazing Book which can change your life
Summary: 5 Stars

this book is a wonderful example of life! It doesnt lecture it only states facts and how life can change all of the sudden! I totally related to Gemma in all ways: parents who are controlling imposing rules, boyfriend which gets hooked up on drugs. I am telling you, read this book and you will remember it for the rest of your life, all my questions are answered in this book. At first i need to tell you, the book starts with:ahdrugs are cool, blablah then before you notice it changes around. Sex, jail, police all involvedyoureally think twice before doing anything stupid in your life
this book helpedmegothrough bad times and now most of the people i KNOW have read it
what can I say? this book is great, inspiring and very well written!

Book Review: Amzing book!
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was gripping from page one! It is the story about two teens,Tar and Gemma, who, fed up with their parents and their town, run away to the city. There they meet older kids who slowly get them hooked on heroin. The kids have nothing to rely on, nothing to keep them going, so they turn to each other and the drugs.

This book was incredible. I'm fourteen and in the beginning, I could relate to almost everything Gemma was going through: restrictive parents, wanting to run away.

Once the kids get into Bristol, its all fun and games at first. They live in a squat with a bunch of older kids who call themselves anarchists. They sit around all day, smoking pot and drinking, then go out at night and glue the locks on the bank doors. Nothing too terrible.

But then they meet another couple, who are so friendly and seem almost magical. They seem to have the right views on everything and pretty soon Tar and Gemma go to live with them.

The two older teens give them their hit of junk and pretty soon they're hooked. Gemma starts working as a prostitute to earn a little money for drugs, and evn when one of the girls gets pregnant and after a few near death experiences, no one can quit.

This is a very scary portrayal of what drugs can do to you. All these kids did was make a few bad choices and POOF their lives were ruined. I think if you've taken drugs, thought about taking them or thought there's no way you'd ever take them, you should read this book. It shows how easily you can get addicted and leaves a very long lasting impression.

Book Review: An Outstanding Book!
Summary: 5 Stars

I absolutely LOVED this book! I could not put it down. It is so detailed on the lives of teens in trouble! Even though I am not in this category it is neat to read about the problems that people my age could have. What the characters have to endure is tremendous, and they way the over come there differences and problems is uplifting! This is a definte must for anyone. I recommend it to anyone between the ages of 13 and adult. It is just one of the most amazing books I have read. I would definitly read again and again!

Book Review: An intense novel... *CAN....NOT.....STOP....READING!*
Summary: 5 Stars

(...) P>This book is intense, its great, its real. Though the book isnt a true story, the events of it are ever so real. Based around the 80's with punks, heroine, and squatting, this book is a keeper. Tar and Gemma are meant for each other. They love each other. But they dont love their familys. Tar, coming from an abusive family, decides to run away and offers for Gemma to join him; Gemma, with no real problems except for over-protective parents decides to leave with Tar for life on the streets. Tar and Gemma are introduced to a group of anarchists and 'squat' with them for a while. Soon after a party, Tar and Gemma have different priorites. After meeting Rob and Lilly, Tar and Gemma are thrown into a whirlwind of Heroine, Prostitution, and Sunflowers. The kids, who began thinking they were strong, rapidly are swallowed into a big black whole of death and heroine. Heroine, heroine, heroine, its all they think about. HEROINE. Desperate, after an unexpected surprise from Lilly, they try to stop. Heroine has got them though, they are hooked and cant get out. Everyone falls apart... life seems meaningless and after Gemma finds out a surprise, she is determained to get off it. Tar and Gemma are weak; but after reading this, you seem to be weak too... it seems as if you lived with them. You can not put it down. you just cant.
