Book Review: A well presented guitar tab book with some nice touches

So the main question is; how does this book differentiate itself from the thousands of other guitar books?

Firstly, and perhaps most obviously, its guitar tab for Siamese Dream, which, in my opinion, is one of the best rock albums ever made. Therefore the quality of the songs in the book are beyond reproach. Like I said, kind of obvious point really.

The tab is well laid out, in a pretty standard format, and it has a coda and all the other features that you'd expect. All the guitar lines are tabbed out in full and its a pretty comprehensive tome.

The best thing about the book however, is the extensive introduction by the head Pumpkin himself. Billy has shown himself to be fairly obsessed with the technical side of music, so not surprisingly, the article is weighed down with lots of attention to detail on sounds, styles and other things. In addition to that its a good read too. A nice touch that gives the book a personalised edge.

A lot of the songs are very difficult to play properly, but the range of songs mean that there is something for everyone; songs like Disarm and Today in the main, are relatively simple, whilst for the guitar afficiandoes amongst you, there's enough widdly-diddly bits to keep you going for years. (You try and learn the solo to Cherub Rock)

Its also great for the 'how did they do that?' factor; because, well, its always nice to find out how they did that.

good book, lots of nice bits, and a whole lots more comprehensive than the stuff off of the net;

Why are the net interpretations so poor?
