Book Reviews of Smelly SocksBook Review: Not my cup of tea I guess Summary: 2 Stars
I really did not find anything original or humorous in the story. There is a bratty, demanding girl who insists that her grandfather row across the river to buy her socks. When she stubbornly refuses to wash them, people and animals react in an exaggerated manner until her friends take the matter into their hands. The reviews sounded great but I probably will donate this book to the library. No it isn't a princess story but it could still have someone with redeeming qualities.
Book Review: Really enjoy the book, but... Summary: 4 Stars
My 4 yr old loves it and I love the humor in it as well. It's a little too long to completely keep my 2 yr old's attention, but she enjoys it too.
Generally, I really likes Munsch's books, but I have a little issue with the kids' behavior at times. As another reviewer mentioned, in Smelly Socks, the girl is a little demanding in her interactions with her mom and grandpa. It's not extreme and I think you can downplay how she sounds when you read it aloud to your kids.
Anyway, the girl's attitude toward adult family members is my only issue and it's not major, but I thought I'd mention it.
Book Review: Smelly... But it does not bother Tina! Summary: 5 Stars
The book is about Tina and how she never wants to take her favorite pair of socks off even to have them washed! I think it is an excellent book for 4 to 8 year olds. We all know how funny it is to children to talk/hear about smelly things! "Eeew!"
The stinky smell of socks does not bother Tina, but it bothers everyone else including the animals... I think that it is hilarious to see what the stinky smell of her socks does to all the animals in her way. I also like how persistent Tina is against everyone telling her to wash her socks! And when her friends cannot stand the smell any longer, they wash her socks! And she figures it all out - why bother washing them, someone will do it for you when they are smelly enough! Her socks are washed by her friends and she gets rewarded with a matching shirt for getting her socks cleaned! Now she has two things she will never, ever take off!
Book Review: THE CUTEST FUNNY STORY FOR KIDS Summary: 5 Stars
JUST GET IT, ITS GEAT I READ IT TO MY 7 YEAR OLD AND USE IT AT MY PRESCHOOL AS WELL AT NAP TIME SO THEY LIE DOWN AND START TO USE THIER IMAGINATION!
