Book Review: Its going to be a classic

This is the best novel I have read in years. The way Lisa See paints the narritaive is outstanding. I was really drawn into the story. It tells the tale of two friends from childhood into old age, and all the joys and trauma inbetween. This may sound like nothing new but it is... It gives insight into the Chinese culture of nearly 200 yrs ago that many of us know so little about, such as all the traditions that had to be observed, like foot binding and arranged marriages. Their friendship is a different one as they are chosen for each other like an arranged marriage by the 'match maker' and both have to sign a contract to be friends for life. I urge you to buy it. Its beautiful. As soon as I finished it, I started reading it again
