This has all the Pilcher staples; Caroline's nervous about her wedding next week,decides to drive to Scotland with her young brother Jody,to see if their other brother Angus can look after him when she's married.She crashes the car in a storm and they take refuge with Oliver,whose brother's just been killed.What will happen?Who can say?It's the usual mixture,but Rosamunde Pilcher always manages to find a fresh angle,and you get so interested in the characters and the beautiful Scottish countryside that this early work,while lacking the charisma of The Shell Seekers or September,still has a charm all its own.
