Book Review: A Great Concept Spoiled by Poor Execution

Author Beth Dunn had a great idea - exploring social climbing in the Main Line. It would have been handled better in more skilled hands. When reading this I could not help but notice that it was poorly edited. This book felt less like an insider skewering caricatures of her peers and more like an outsider from Jersey trying to imagine the lives of ladies who raise money while rearing their children in the posh Philly 'burbs. Sure she drops names of places on the Main Line but so could anyone driving down Lancaster Avenue.
'Social Climbers' is self-publishing at its worst. This effort is, in prep-speak, TBA (to be avoided).
