Summary: 5 Stars
The word that comes into my head when i think of this book is "SCARY". It is frighteningly deep and every technique of lead guitar is covered. If you are looking for the lead guitar equivalent of the bible, then this is it. The book isn't really meant to be gone through in a couple of weaks then tossed away (you could do that but it would years), instead it is a referance, something to look to when a specific technique needs improving. Its great value for money but don't expect it to be a magic remedy that will immeadiately improve your playing.The only problem i have is that there doesn't seem to be any focus on the fun of playing guitar. It has a rather cold and academic feel to it, like a school class. That said, Troy is a great teacher and, of course, a great player.
