Book Review: A book as haunting as the photo's of Alice herself
Summary: 5 Stars
As A Carroll fan, not just of work but of his life I was very excited when I heard what this book was about, and I was also very pleased. It was haunting as the black and white photo's Carroll took of Alice, and it read quick and snap shot like. I felt she captured a lot about Carroll beautifully as well as Alice. It was a lovely account of a 'Golden Afternoon' in which they shared, and I liked her concept of how he was removed from the Liddell family. Fiction mixed with reality make this a must have for anyone interested in Carroll's relationship with Alice, I felt she hit a perfect middle ground on the subject and I couldn't have asked for better. The ending was perfect, bitter-sweet, and true to form. It also had a very amusing scene towards the end, that's both frightening and interesting. Over all a true jem of a book.
