Book Review: A gift beyond words

There are no words to describe the expansion that Stillness Speaks offers. The Power Of Now, Eckharts first, is beautiful, yet this book, or what this book points to, is beyond profound.
If you are ready to fully realize the Unmanifested, our true nature, the signposts in this book will awaken that within you.
As I said there are no words to describe what is in store for those who are ready to awaken out of the dream of time and form and consciously access the formless, the unmanifested.
What a gift!!!
Book Review: A great addition to Power of Now

I guess it should not be surprising that most of the on-line reviews of this book are all at the extremes. As Tolle says himself, it is hard to communicate beyond words when you are communicating with words. What I liked about this small volume (the price aside) is that it captures in Tolle's very clear and precise wording the various messages in the Power Of Now and drives them home with even more precision and poignancy than that first volume. In fact, for me, he is effectively responding to a few questions I had from reading that earlier book, questions that were not answered in the book itself. How can you get beyond thought when the medium of the message is "words" that must necessarily be processed through the thinking process in the first instance? I don't know, and he doesn't, but I like the very practical suggestions that he makes, indeed the same ones he made in the Power of Now, but with greater focus and clarity - the silence between sounds, the spaces in what we see, the gaps between words in a conversation. For me this is an excellent addition to the Power of Now, and well worth the price.Book Review: A great aid to meditation

This books will take you back to stillness and peace any moment you pick it up and read a few lines. I find this as a very useful book to read just before starting my evening meditation and before going to bed. After coming home from work, when the momentum of the mind is still flowing, I pick up this book and the mind sees the wisdom and slow down and stops. Meditation is just natural and effortless after that.
In the introduction to the book Echart tells us "If you are looking for food for thought, you won't find it here". So if you are looking for entertainment, a new theory, or to escape from boredom this book is not for you. This book is only for a bit more serious people who just want to go back to stillness and enjoy the bliss of being, not being this or that, but just being. This book has several chapters like the egoic self, nature etc. I also bought the audio CD along with the book. After listening to the audio several times, his words have become a kind of inner guide inside my head.
Book Review: A helpful revisit of the main signposts in The Power of Now

The Power of Now is my all time favorite book. It has changed my life in ways no other book has. I first read it one and a half years ago and have read it diligently since then. I listen to the CD's in my car almost daily. Last year I had the priveledge of going on a 5 day retreat with Eckhart at the Omega Institute in New York. It was a powerful, life changing experience and I can say he is the real thing. He is an embodiment of what we're all looking for.So I looked forward to Stillness Speaks since I read about it months ago. It is a good book. However, like Practicing the Power of Now, Stillness Speaks supports and strengthens the ideas in The Power of Now, but doesn't continue on from them. In other words, there's nothing new in Stillness Speaks. Which is fine and as it should be. The Power of Now said it all. Stillness Speaks seems designed as a way to go deeper into the concepts of The Power of Now. It's the main signposts in The Power of Now communicated and packaged in a different way. Therefore, it's not the new, groundbreaking book The Power of Now is. The content of Stillness Speaks will be familiar to everyone who has read The Power of Now. For this reason I give it four stars instead of five.
I know I'll be reading, contemplating and meditating on Stillness Speaks for years to come. Stillness Speaks is not a conventional book, but a series of 200 short entries that are meant to be read one by one and meditated on. I would say one would have to fully read The Power of Now in order to get full benefit from Stillness Speaks. As with Practicing The Power of Now, I would recommend Stillness Speaks to those who have read The Power of Now and want to go deeper into it.
Book Review: A manual for Living Free of Suffering

Read this book. Take it with you anywhere you go. Put it under your pillow at night. If you don't like it, forgive yourself and gently stop thinking about the material and just listen to what it says. This is sacred material amazingly available to everyone. This book heralds this New Age of Freedom from Suffering. After deeply studying many old and new sacred material such as the Bible and many related studies, A Course in Miracles, other works and lectures by Eckhart Tolle, works of Don Miguel Ruiz, and many many others, I truly believe this book is the clearest and most concise sacred book written in English in our century. This book is a Teacher and if you are willing, it can deliver you from suffering.
