The book we read is called "Stone Fox" by John Reynolds Gardiner. My favorite character is Little Willy. Heres three reasons why Little Willy is my favorite character: One reason is he never gives up. Another reason is he believed in himself, and third, he believed he could win the race. Stone Fox is a great book! It is kind of funny, but kind of depressing. My favorite part is when Dusty, the town drunk said "Was Denver, Stone Fox snapped a mans backwith 2 fingers. The book is much different than the movie. Though they're both good. The book took place in Jackson, Wyoming. Well, it's about a little boy that lives with his grandfather and they own a farm. So litte Willy (the little boy) had to pay taxes for the farm. So he entered the dog sled race and little Willy had to keep up the farm. So when Clifford Snyder the tax man came, Willy didn't know about taxes. But if he didn't pay, the farm would be gone. So he entered the dog sled race with his dog, Searchlight. They tried to win the race against the greatest competitor,the Native American, Stone Fox.Book Review: A Must Read, "Stone Fox."

I gave this book Stone Fox 3 stars. There 3 reasons why. First, it was easy. It was easy.Because the size of the words. The second reason is that it was short. I mean it only had 81 pages in it. Finally, the last reason is about the grandfather. He gets sick. And he's old too. I'm sentimental about that stuff. I would recommend this for 5th and 6th graders. Also,for people who like farming and that western kind of stuff. It's easy, short, and interesting.Book Review: A Terrific Read-----if you can bear sad moments

Stone Fox is a wonderful book. I read a lot of books, and Stone Fox was great. We have the copy in our school library. I've borrowed and read it about five times. At the end, I'm always like, oh, that's so sad, and I wish it wasn't sad but then I know that the book wouldn't be the same if he made it a happy ending.
