Book Review: War in the trenches as it was, first hand !

Written after the first would war by a german officer (Ernst Junger), who having suffered the bloody deadlock of the western front for nearly four years, volunteers to train and lead a newly formed Stormtroop group.The result of which caved the allies front in, and had our " backs to the wall" fight that the 1918 spring offensive inflicted. A fight that had the german supplies managed to keep up with, would have won germany the war. A moving and ghasty account of new methods in warfare, written with passion and maybe love of war/killing. Displays brutally what methods man will go to, in league with mankind to outdo mankind.
