It is a complete and simple Stretching handbook. The pictures are not enough detailled on anatomy.Good to begin stretching.
Book Review: Informative and Interesting Book Summary: 5 Stars
My mom loves this book. Finally she is interested in learning about the workings of muscles and of valuing the importance of stretching. This book has contributed to her interest because of the detailed and imagery of the pictures.
Book Review: It's Okay Summary: 4 Stars
Many gave this 5 stars, so I got this one but the book by Bob Anderson on stretching has a lot more exercises (way more) than this one and that one seems to have more, easier to understand explanations for each. Stretching: 30th Anniversary Edition
Book Review: Not for beginners Summary: 2 Stars
Has a good description of the exercise, but does not give you a good guidance on how to plan an exercise routine and dangers or contraindications of the exercise.
Book Review: Ouch! Summary: 3 Stars
This is an excellent book for the under 50 set. For those of us over 60 it is rather hilarious. My limbs have not achieved some of these positions for thirty years. I think if you have studied yoga you might have no trouble with these exercises. I learned a lot about how my muscles work and I will use some of their recommendations but be advised: if you are a senior looking for help stretching those tired muscles, I don't think this is the book for you.
