Winter Born - Sherrilyn Kenyon
THE STORY -Pandora was ripped away from her time and brought to the past by rouge were-panthers. She is 24 and in her first heat. She escaped the rouge panthers and was told to find Acheron at DRAGON*CON. Once she arrives she runs into 4 male were-panthers that sense her heat. She must hide in fear of them. Dante never wanted a mate, but he is unable to ignore Pandora.
THOUGHTS - I loved this story!! It was fantastic!! It is very fast paced, but great characters and plot. I remember Dante from one of the Dark-Hunter books. This is my favorite story in this book, but again I don't like anthologies because they are too short.
Born of the Night - Amanda Ashley
THE STORY - Lady Shanara went to the battle bored with her life inside the castle, but when her people lose she is picked up by Lord Reyes. Reyes is unable to treat her like the enemy; his wolf side recognizes his mate. It just takes the man longer to realize, but can they get over the curse?
THOUGHTS - I liked this story. I liked the characters and it was a creative plot. The pace was good.
Make it Last Forever - LA BANKS
THE STORY - Tara has to go on a mission for the greater good. She must guide the handsome biker with a good heart.
THOUGHTS - Truth be told, I really don't know what this book was about. It was vague and confusing. He loves tara, but they can't be together? The pace was slow, a lot of inner monologues going on. I really don't even get the point of the story. Descriptions of the "mission" is vague. That's all I can think of.
Red Moon Rising - Lori Handeland
THE STORY - Maya Alexander has a man literally crash into her house. Clay Philips takes her on an adventure to save her from a skinwalker. The Navajo Skinwalker has set his sights on Maya and will take her at any cost. Clay defends her, but keeps her at a distance emotionally.
THOUGHTS - I like the idea behind this book and the writing style. What I didn't like is Clay's - keep at arms length - attitude. I didn't feel the emotion between them. Their relationship just feels cold. That left me not liking this story.
