Book Review: Elder is just as guilty of racial pimping.
Summary: 2 Stars
Depending on a particular audience, I am often considered both a conservative or a liberal. I hate such labels as mostly they are used to divide the populace and keep them sniping at each other while the real dirt is done. So in most ways I agree with the points Larry Elder states. However, Larry Elder is just as big a racial pimp as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Elder has made his living solely by talking about black people to white audiences. An audience that loves to eat up Elder's form of racial pimping. Bill Cosby said the same things but the big difference is that Cosby spoke such things directly to the black community and for the most part the black community backed up Cosby since his critiques came across as constructive rather than kissing up to white people.
The titles of Elder's chapters clearly indicate he is racial pimping. Nearly every chapter is named Stupid Black This or Stupid Black That. So just what type of audience is he trying to reach with such language? Definitely not black people. He is pimping race to a white audience who are simply getting their beliefs confirmed by a black face.
