Book Review: A Punishment?

This was the longest-winded, boring book I've ever read. Over 600 pages of pure bore. The plot (if there actually was one) was shallow. Nothing good happened. I think, the only reason the book was so successful, was because "Garden of Lies" was so good, and so people naturally thought that this one would be good, too. So Goudge thought of a good story plot for "Garden of Lies". But she hadn't thought of another good one yet, but she wrote another novel anyway. Should her wealth be at our expense? If you haven't thought of a good story line, don't write a book yet.
