Book Review: AWESOME
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great book, a riveting, well-written story of what would happen if aliens visited the Earth. In this case, it is five peaceful aliens, blue and white and yellow, who land in a field in upstate New York and then slowly discover how aggressive and suspicious human beings are with a history that is violent and oppressive. I won't give you all the details, but the aliens are shown different examples of human civilization and they are horrified how violent and prejudicial human society is. When they are taken to Washington, D.C. to meet the president, they realize even presidents have been killed by human violence. If you want to read a great story of the media blitz that is sure to occur if aliens come to Earth, this is the story for you. I just loved the descriptions of the alien society based on philosophy and creativity. Ka-deino-davi-na! That's their planet in their own language and it means something like beyond beautiful. A great book and one you won't soon forget.
