Book Reviews of TailsBook Review: Educators Recommend Summary: 5 Stars
Toddlers love Tails ! At least that was our experience when we brought this fun, interactive book into a Head Start classroom. As its name implies, this is a book about various types of tails-from tiger tails to pig tails. Each double page features something to touch (a shiny blue peacock tail), manipulate (a wagging fox tale), or smell (a skunk tail). The final two pages picture each of the creatures the reader has met throughout the book and allows them to count from one to ten. Included are: foxes, pandas, pangolins, weasels, chipmunks, alligators, and tamarins, as well as the previously mentioned tigers and pigs. The book itself is brilliantly designed and engineered. The covers are thick hardboard. The interior pages are heavy and sturdy and will hold up to repeated readings. We suggest that you buy several for your classroom-its that good. Tails receives our highest recommendation. Reviewed by the Education Oasis Staff
Book Review: Entertaining for all your kids Summary: 5 Stars
This was a gift for my youngest and then I bought it for my sister's youngest. It's a great book with things to move and touch. My six year old reads it to the little ones and learns about new animals.
Book Review: Excellent diction, hilarious pictures, fun for adults Summary: 5 Stars
Disclaimer: my wife used to work for the publisher (we
got it free along with every other new release). This
was by far the most fun of any of them. We bought several
extra copies for gifts to friends.
Great book to read to pre-readers. Too many complex and unusual
words for learning to read. The pull out fun (and wagging tails)
are made of many layers of cardboard, so it lasts a lot longer
than most active books.
Book Review: Fantastic! Summary: 5 Stars
My son loves this book. He is younger than the recommended age, but he gets a kick out of the different textures and has learned to recognize some of the unusual animals it displays. A winner!
