Book Reviews of Tails

Book Review: Great first book!
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this book for our son while I was pregnant thinking it was really cute. He began expressing interest when we read to him at about 8 months old by reaching out and touching the pictures as we read. We started reading this to him and now he pushes it towards for it whenever we are reading, to get us to change books. His favorite page it "Frisky tails, Wag,Wag, Wag; and he tries to turn to that page alot! I think it's pretty impressive that he understands reading time and is able to recall the book he wants to see. I assume we will get very tired of reading it before he out grows his fascination with all this book has to offer.

Book Review: Great for toddlers
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great book and very sturdy. My son has repeatedly TRIED to bend, pull out, and tear some of the movable tails and because it is so sturdy, the book remains still intact. It keeps my active son engaged and he loves to have it read to him again and again. He loves the fuzzy and rough materials and doesn't seem to mind the stinky scratch and sniff page. I have bought three more copies of this book as birthday presents. A great addition for your book shelf.

Book Review: Great for toddlers!
Summary: 4 Stars

My son loved this book so much, I now give it as a gift to anyone turning one. I have yet to meet a toddler who doesn't like it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because over time the pictures can get ripped. Overall, well worth the money!

Book Review: Great interactive book
Summary: 5 Stars

We got this as a gift for my 18 month old daughter and she absolutely loves it. The design is extremely sturdy, which is great, because with all the use it gets, it needs to be. Some books have tabs that make parts of the book "move", but after repeated use, they tear and the moving parts don't work anymore. Not a worry with this book. It has held up great. The textures that are used for the touch and feel items are perfect, the drawings are adorable, and the fact that the author uses animals not typically chosen for children at this age is an added bonus. Forget your run-of-the-mill cats, dogs, and lions, your child will encounter boars, porcupines, weasels, chipmunks, pangolins, and tamarins. (Yes, I will admit, I never heard of the last two animals until I read this book--even a parent can learn something from it!) Matthew van Fleet added a nice touch to the book by including pictures of the animals in the back that you saw throughout the story, along with their names, so kids can learn about animals that they were probably not exposed to prior this. A GREAT interactive book for curious little minds! You will not be disappointed.

Book Review: Great!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm 14 years old. I babysat at this kids house last night and she had this book. I think I liked it more than she did it was so cool. I love how all the tails feel! There was only one page I didn't like and that was the skunk page it has a scratch and sniff thing and it acctually smells like a skunk it was pretty gross! But overall its a pretty cool book!
