Book Review: My 1 yr old's favorite book!

My 1 year old LOVES this book. It's his absolute favorite. I have to read it to him before bed every night or he won't go to sleep. He won't let me read anything else to him. I have to by another one because he ripped off the pig's and fox's tails. Everytime he gets to the skunk he says "pee yooo" and waves his hand. This was a present for my son from a friend when he was about 5 months old and he has enjoyed it ever since. He loves the cover which has many different textures to touch and is so colorful to look at. Sometimes I read him the rhymes but sometimes he is content to just sit and flip through the book himself. He loves feeling some of the furry things like the lion tails, but recently favorites are the porcupine's needles and the peacock's shiny spots. He opens the flaps himself which lead to wide pages full of color and exploration. This book keeps him so occupied, I am amazed. He has awhile until he will be able to count the different animals throughout the book (as the last two pages suggest), but I think so far he has thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm happy that he will have more about it to enjoy in the future.
This is really a great book....and it has held up to the pulls and tugs of a 5-9 month old....pretty sturdy.
Book Review: My Son Loves It!!

My mother-in-law bought this book for my son last week. He absolutely loves it! He is 21 months old. He wants this book read to him several times a day and he is getting really good at identifying the animals and doing all of the "tricks" himself. It is nice that the book is so sturdy too...he isn't exactly gentle! I would definately recommend this book to anyone with kids (or a kid at heart...I love it too!)Book Review: My daughter LOVES this book!

Matthew Van Fleet makes such wonderful books. Tails is no exception. My daughter has loved this book since she was 1 and still enjoys reading it at the age of 3. The cute pictures and interactive movements of many of the pages make the book fun for my daughter and myself. Tails is one of her favorite books and I would recommend it for any toddler. The only caution I would put on this book is if your child is destructive, be sure to supervise them while reading it, some of the parts can rip and tear easily.Book Review: My daughter loves this one!

This book is my daughter's favorite one! The textures are well explained. She loves the shiny tail of peacock which is a peek-a-boo type page. She opens it and shows it to me with her eyes wide open! There is also a page in which the tails can be moved with a "wag-wag-wag" rhythm. She is 14 months old and cannot repeat the textures like "clingy, stringy etc" but she does try to say "wag-wag-wag".
