I never knew how ignorant I was about my own body and "where babies come from" till I read this book.
Her writing is simple and clear. Anyone can do it and for those of us who were not blessed with regular cycles, Ms. Weschler's book is a God send...we can finally understand what the heck is going on in there and we are comforted that we too have a change at getting pregnant without spending big bucks on uncomfortable medical treatments.
The process of conception is an amazing thing and Weschler's teachings help us actually see it happen play-by-play. For the type A women the whole charting thing can become kinda obsessive and stress you out more which doesn't help conception.
Try to control those controling impulses and enjoy watching your body work and be amazed at it. Getting pregnant will be much more than just a goal to be achieved and more of an incredible experience you get ot take part of.
I am not sure I would be a full time FAM user though...simple because with my messy schedule I fear forgeting to write things down and ending up with a completely unplanned pregnancy (haven't been able to let go of trying to control that aspect of my life yet) but for those trying to conceive, I believe this is a great tool.
