Book Reviews of Taking Charge of Your Fertility, 10th Anniversary Edition: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive HealthBook Review: A must-read for women concerned about their fertility. Summary: 5 StarsThis book is by far the best I have read on low-tech
fertility methods. Not only does it explain in simple terms
the various natural signals of the cycle, but it includes
numerous discussions of what charts that are a little less
than perfect can mean. It is written in a straight-forward,
non-alarmist tone, and outlines all the options, not just
the ones the author likes. This book is a must for any
coupleconsidering getting pregnancy. It can save you
a lot of time simply by arming you with information and
teaching you to be aware of what your body is doing.
Book Review: What Your Mother and the School Nurse Never Taught You Summary: 5 StarsThis book taught me more about my body in the four days it took me to read this than the entire rest of my life.
I have been using the information in this book for natural birth control (successfully) for almost a year now, and I intend to use it when I plan a family.
Highly recommended.
Book Review: EVERY woman should read this book! Must-have information! Summary: 5 StarsThis book should be required reading in every sex-ed
class.
Toni Weschler clearly, frankly and precisely
explains how a woman's fertility works, where things can
go wrong, and how to (and not to) get pregnant.
I have loaned this book to every woman friend I have,
and will continue to do so. I will definitely buy it
for my future children (who will be conceived using
the information in the book!)
Book Review: Empowering - imparts incredible knowledge of your own body. Summary: 5 StarsThis is a very clear, concise book - easily readable and understandable. By applying this book the reader is truly able to take charge of her own fertility. From this book I have gained a feeling of confidence in my own body and an awe of the beauty and strength of womanhood. My husband and I used this book to successfully avoid conception for seven months, then used it for one month to become pregnant (also successful). This book includes clear guidelines for using Natural Family Planning/Fertility Awareness Method during premenopause or breastfeeding. This is absolutely the most clear and complete book on the subject that I have read. The knowlegde to be gained from one's own body makes this book worthwhile reading for all women, sexually active or not.
Book Review: Wish I had this when I was a teenager. Summary: 5 StarsTW's book answers so many questions women have about their bodies -- and even gives answers to questions we never thought to ask.
If I ever have a daughter, I want her to read this book.
