I sought out six versions of the Tao to start reading it slowly. I wanted a number of different translations to deal with the difficulty of translating ancient Chinese poetry into modern English. I can't remember how this one got into the books I selected, but it did. It is a joke, and it is dishonest of the author to even call it a translation. It is his poetical musings about what the Tao means to him. I was so perplexed by the books appparent lack of connection with the actual Tao that I googled the author. No surprise, he is a complete loony. My copy is going into the garbage can.
