The book "Telling Christina Goodbye" by: Lurlene McDaniel was a tremendous book. This book is not only sad, but its also very uplifting. The fact that this group: Cody, Trisha, Christina, and Tucker, are as close as they are, makes this book bring you to tears.
A little about the book: The car accident that they got into ruined every single one of their lives. The accident left Cody in coma, Christina dead, and Trisha wounded, yet Tucker was fine. Trisha had a hard time moving on from Christinas death, and had been waiting for Cody to wake up. As Tucker had been walking around, everyone blaming him for his girlfriends (Christinas) death. When Cody woke up he didn't remember Trisha (his girlfriend). Trisha had to work on it until Cody started to remember her, and fall in love with her again. Trisha made a new friend Abby, and they became close. Abby understood how it felt to be in Trishas place, because she had lost her brother in a car accident just a few years before.
This book is very uplifting because it makes you realize that you can't stay stuck in nuetral, you got to move on with life. No matter what happens, don't forget the memories but also, make new ones.

Book Review: A GREAT BOOK! NEED I SAY MORE? Summary: 5 Stars
Telling Cristina Goodbye is a great but sad story of 4 friends, Trisha Thompson, Christina Eckloe, Cody McIntire, and Tucker Hanson. Christina is often crying about her boyfriend, Tucker, who Trisha and Cody, her boyfriend, hates because he is rude and mean to Chrissy. It seems like a normal night when the four seniors drive to a basketball game, untill Tucker starts a fight and they get kicked out. On the way home, something terrible happens: the car hits a patch of ice, and Tucker is the only one wearing his seatbelt. The turnout is horrible, Tucker has a few scratches, Trisha is minorly injured, but Cody is in a coma, and Christina is dead. This book shows how two 'enimies' cope after two of the people they care about aren't there. Between Mr. Eckloe throwing Tucker out of the funeral home, to a bad speech, to Cody forgetting about him and his life with Trisha, the characters have many bups in the road to recovery. Based on the true story of three kids, Nathan, Megan, and Andy.
