Book Reviews of Ten Little LadybugsBook Review: My daughter LOVES this book Summary: 5 StarsThis book is the reason my daughter fell in love with story time. When my daughter was about 6 months old I began reading this book periodically but when she was around 8 or 9 months old she just began LOVING it. She would constantly bring it to me and as I would turn the page to count down one more number she would squeal in excitement. I now have the book memorized and can "read" it from across the room as she holds it and turns the pages. I have recommended this book to every parent I know especially ones with daughters and they have all had success. My daughter is now almost 17 months old and still loves and enjoys every time we read "Ten Little Ladybugs" NO REGRETS
Book Review: Excellent book! Summary: 5 StarsMy daughter, who just turned 2, kept asking me for a ladybug book. I couldn't find one in any of our local bookstores so I ordered this one from Amazon. Right when I took it out of the box, she grabbed it away from me, so excited! We read it several times a day. She's already memorized many of the pages!
Book Review: Great read, even for an 9 month old.. Summary: 5 StarsI bought this book for my 9 month old daughter, not intending to read this to her until she turned at least 1 year old. However, she saw it sitting on the sofa and was drawn to it immediately. Since then, I've read it to her daily, as she seems to always find it. She seems to love the colors and responds to the story, but especially loves the little ladybugs themselves.
I'd recommend this book for children under one year of age, but only with an adult's supervision, just incase the ladybugs decide to jump off of the page. However, after 2 months of harsh play, there seems to be no sign of that happening.
Book Review: best counting book we have Summary: 5 StarsThe best part about this book is the plot: as various animals "come along" the ladybugs begin disappearing one by one. On the first read, you'll start to worry that you'll have to explain the "circle of life" when you get to the end, but alas there is a happy ending. And it doesn't seem to occur to little kids (just learning to count) that the lady bugs might be getting eaten, but the idea keeps me entertained every time.
The book has great colorful artwork and the bugs stick out. My daughter loves to touch the bugs as she counts - I think having something to touch helps the kids move from just pointing around and saying numbers to actually counting objects.
Book Review: 10 Little Ladybuys gets 5 big stars! Summary: 5 StarsMy daughter loves this book. We purchased it after seeing how much she loved her 10 Little Butterfly book! It helps teach counting from 10 to 1! A Great Buy!
