Book Review: Great book!

My daughter received this book for her first birthday and it's always been one of her favorites. When she was younger, she liked touching the 3D lady bugs and watching them "disappear". She will be three in a few weeks and this is the book she wants to read before bed every night. She's learning to recognize the numbers and is getting better with her counting skills. We also have the "Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" book that is a similar style and she enjoys that, too.Book Review: Great book, with real longevity of interest

We received this book as a baby shower gift, so our daughter (who is now 9 months) has always had the book. The book is very well done - the artwork is nice, the raised ladybugs are fun, the rhyme is very cute, all that. What really made the book great for us is that it was one of the first my daughter became actively interested in because of the raised ladybugs. From as early as 4-5 months she was interested in the book, because she could touch the ladybugs. Now, as she's growing, she turns the pages and follows along a little more. As time goes on, she'll grow more interested in the rhyme and the anticipation of completing the rhyme on the next page. It is clearly one of her favorites - it is almost always the first book she pulls out of the shelf, and she'll open it up and start "reading" it herself!
So this is a great book to get early, and a good investment as interest should sustain for quite a while.

My 3 year old got this for her birthday and it's a great quick read that also helps her learn how to count backwards (she's got forwards down already). It's bright, colorful and has great pictures. I would highly recommend!Book Review: Great read, even for an 9 month old..

I bought this book for my 9 month old daughter, not intending to read this to her until she turned at least 1 year old. However, she saw it sitting on the sofa and was drawn to it immediately. Since then, I've read it to her daily, as she seems to always find it. She seems to love the colors and responds to the story, but especially loves the little ladybugs themselves.
I'd recommend this book for children under one year of age, but only with an adult's supervision, just incase the ladybugs decide to jump off of the page. However, after 2 months of harsh play, there seems to be no sign of that happening.
Book Review: Great rhyming, illustrations and plot :)

This book is so great - I love that the rhyming plot leads you to the next page - my 18 month old son looks forward to turning the page each time. I really love the illustrations - the colors are bright and vivid. The size is also good - not too big, not too small. All-in-all a great book, I would buy it again and recommend it to friends. Would make a great gift.
