I have read this book so many times that I have memorized the book. My 17 month old loves it. In fact, I was so tired of reading it I sent it to my mother's for the two days a week she visits her. The book really is wonderful and tought her several animal words including turtle and duck. I have seen several other books with a similar design of counting down. I do not know if they are by the same author, but we aslo have one about butterflies. She loves this one almost as much.Book Review: I hate this book

I really do hate this book. The plot makes no sense. How does a fish interact with ladybugs? Yeah, I get the point that it's supposed to teach counting, but the story itself is inane.Book Review: I love this book

I bought this book for my daughter when she was 2 or 3 and she loved it. She brought it to daycare with her and it became a hit there as well. Then my son came along and he loved it sooo much that it finally fell apart and I just bought a second copy. It is very simple, but colorful, and helpful with counting skills. A good classic to have ready at bedtime and guaranteed to be a hit as a gift for a 2-5 year old.Book Review: It's a winner

This is my 7-month-old daughter's favorite book. It has great big, colorful pictures and it rhymes. She loves to see the ladybugs disappear and she looks for them by turning the pages back and forth. I'm always looking for books just like this one. I'm surprised that it is rated for older babies.
