Book Reviews of The 20th-Century Children's Book Treasury: Picture Books and Stories to Read AloudBook Review: This book makes a wonderful gift! Summary: 5 StarsI sent this book as a gift to a seven year old nephew. He told me "I love this book!". He recognized some of the stories and I could hear the excitement in his voice about reading it. Gifts of books are the best encouragement for reading - particularly ones that a child enjoys.
Book Review: a marvelous book Summary: 5 StarsI sent this book as a gift for relatives to read with my niece and nephews. My aunt says it is a marvelous book with a good selection of stories, and she especially likes the idea of the graded levels so that you can tell at a glance which story is good for which child.
Book Review: My children's favorite book Summary: 5 StarsThis collection of stories is great for families that have readers at different levels. Both my 3 year-old and 5 year-old quickly found favorite stories. There are recognizable faces (Arthur and Madeline), as well as the classics like "Goodnight Moon". With all of the original illustrations included, this book is a well-designed keepsake that your children will read for many years and likely want to pass down to their children. If for no other reason, buy this book and read the story "The Stinky Cheese Man". You will be happy with this book, and so will your children.
Book Review: I bought three copies! Summary: 5 StarsOne for us, one for the grand parents and one for my niece who has a one year old. This is such a great idea, I can't believe no one has done it before. My two year old and my four year old both love this book for different reasons. It's a new experience each time we open it because they choose different stories each time.
Book Review: A wonderfully compiled book of childrens favorite stories. Summary: 5 StarsAlthough we missed the turning of pages and the bigger pictures in the orignal book, this book was wonderful. Our family ranging in ages from 9 - 37 yrs old all found their favorite stories. Even our 10 month old likes to stare at the illustrations.
