Book Review: Great for travel, not for everyday reading

This is not the book to buy if you're looking to expose your children to a wide array of children's literature at its best. This is, however, an excellent book to purchase if you're going on an extended trip with a small child and won't be able to bring or acquire a big stack of books while away. Yes, the illustrations are too small. Yes, there are edits. But this book got me through three weeks abroad with two two-year-olds -- enough said.Book Review: One of my children's favorite books!

We own literally a ton of children's books (12 bookshelves full), and this one is one of the most picked books by all of my children. It is one of the very few that many different ages will sit for and enjoy together. I bought it as part of the sonlight pre-k program, but my second grader still reads it all the time also. This book is well worth the cover price!!!Book Review: Classic together!!!

Great book to have, I like it because I got it for a very low price, I wouldn't want to pay the full price becasue lets face it you are not going to like every single story in it.
Note to Muslim parents: there are some stories which have a pictures and/or name of pig or it's meat. So think before you buy or do what I did. You can cut pictures of other animals from magazines to cover Pig's Pictures.

This is a great book. I have bought it for all of my children's friends for their birthday parties (kindergarten aged.) It has a lot of the old favorites, and new ones that I had not come across yet. Now my neices are having babies, and a new group will receive it. Ok, so the pictures are abridged, and the page flow is altered, but there is nothing stopping someone from getting the original book at the library, or purchasing a copy if their kids like the story enough.
