Book Reviews of The 48 Laws of Power

Book Review: A Good read
Summary: 5 Stars

The "48 Laws of Power" is extremely insightful and justifiably detailed and contradicting. It is a perfect reference book. To my fellow reviewers I ask that you Lighten Up! Do not take it as a way of life.
After I purchased the book I did not read it chapter after chapter. If I did I would have missed the sole purpose of the book-to inform AND INSTRUCT. I peruse the table of contents for the laws that are applicable to my situation.

Prior to reading it, in many aspects of my life I was often misled and duped. Subsequent to reading the applicable rules of law, I thought about a phrase in a song that says: "Once I was blind and now I can see". I can now consider myself briefed. Mainly because individuals like myself that were reared to be compassionate, respectful, loving and giving, WILL NOT AND CANNOT recognize this level of deceipt and trickery. We often mislable the acts and take them personally. The author has given me insight that has reframed my perception of many situations.

I love the details. The details cleary describes the dynamics that often occur in order to recognize Mstyle politics. Once youv'e recognized the "powerplay", you can then plan or initiate your defense or position.

Furthermore, it's contradicting and rightfully so. Life is contradicting. It's important to know that each law could be initiated simultaneously. (This is where the idea of choosing your battles must be implemented) They are all unique to the individual(s) and the situation.

Finally, It is through the "48 Laws of Power" that I have been enlightened. I suggest that you commit yourself to being open and objective. Oh! I also learned that many people are deceptive and manipulating by nature. They cannot help it and often are not conciously aware of there acts. Accepting this fact and remaining aware makes it all good. HALF THE BATTLE IS WON ONCE YOU KNOW. Robert Greene did his best to make sure we know. It's an excellent read.

Book Review: A Great Book Not To Be Taken Lightly
Summary: 5 Stars

It took me a while to finish this book simply because there is so much information in it. I will not dwell on a lengthy analysis of the book but will get to the point. This book contains many great concepts that everyone can learn from. I, myself, learned from it because it had me think about certain situations in ways I had not previously considered before. It may not be everyone's moralistic cup of tea but it does present the information you need if you want to be competitive in any business endeavor.

To the point, this book teaches you how to be a winner in corporate society. By corporate I mean if you are out to gain power and wealth then you can learn from this book. If you are out to be a good, honest, moralistic business person or worker then this book will give you insight as to what to watch out for.

I highly recommend it!

Book Review: A Great Book!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have found, through my own experience, that many of these tenets are very applicable in real life. I have used several of them to further my own career over the last two decades. I think the points in the book are missed by a lot of the reviewers. Especially where the reviewers have asked for specific guidelines of when to use seemingly contradictory laws. Situations are different and it is impossible to foresee the future and pick a specific law to be used in that situation. These people are probably not powerful themselves. They want an ABC, step-by-step process to success. Those who are truly powerful are able to use their own creative thought to adapt their own situation to the laws and thus become successful. Read this book. Reflect on this laws. Adapt them to your own life and situation and you will gain power.

Hey online shoppers

The 48 laws of power is a great book. I'm still reading it. This book can be applied to diffrent walk of life. I used it to have leverage over my coworkers and my girlfriend. The best rule in my opinion is Win Through Actions not Argument. You can look up all 48 laws on any search engine but to grasp the full message you have to buy the book. It will start worjing for you as soon as you get it. Its my daily guide in this world of corruption and power. Guard yourself against power, gain power or lose it. This book shows you how to. Amazon.com has such great shipping and low prices you can read my review or your copy and have it by lunch time tomorrow. Happy reading!

Book Review: A Great Study of Power: Not for Everyone
Summary: 5 Stars

Be careful who you recommend this too. This is a history and factual book. It does not teach how to swindle your friends or take control of the World. It is a reference guide to ways of power.

It is a beautiful portrayal of Machiavellian philosophy without the ruthlessness. It is stated fact of history. Better to know than not to know. It's easy to ridicule it and dismiss it, but it's real. It's the reason(Power moves) we have countries, government and society today.

Take this book, as Mr. Greene states "...to know power, to recognize power or to avoid it..."

Again, this is a special book, and I reiterate, to be talked about to the intelligent, open-minded and someone ready to accept its brutal, real-life, history lessons.
