I was a new Lightroom user when I bought this book, and it has been just the right depth and amount of content. Prior to buying this I watched the video tutorials on Kelby's Learning site. Those are well done but for me it's much beter to have a book to grab while you are working with the program. I'm only using the basic capabilities so far, but know when I need more the book will get me started. There is a huge amount of additional learning material on Adobe's site (many short videos on specific topics)for additional instruction - those are free by the way. The step by step from start to finish is great. And the book size is great as it is wide and able to spread on the desk while learning in lightroom 2 on your PC / MAC. That is one of the great things about this book as some books are just hard to hold and keep open while learning steps.Book Review: Among the best

Kelby's books are all fantastic learning tools. Easy to follow, lots of pictures so they are very visual. Well written and up to date. I only bought one for the software and I think this was the best choice. Same thing with the Photoshop series.Book Review: Another great book from Scott Kelby
