Book Review: funny and surprisingly informative
Summary: 5 Stars

the book's size and appearance led me to believe that this was a part of one of those silly guidebook series--essentially the same general information about traveling where the specific country's name is just filled in. this is not the case. this book provides a lot of great information for those traveling to britain or those interested in knowing more about the british. a good historical base, great descriptions of the different regions (he discusses "what it's like," food and drink and "famous for"). he covers almost all of the essential introductory information. and while he admits that he makes some broad generalizations (he puts it down to "overacting in search of a cheap laugh"), he reveals some truths and doesn't rely on pure stereotypes. the only thing i didn't like was the lack of a conclusion--when i turned the final page i didn't realize that that was it. funny writing and great drawings.
